As part of the European Year of Volunteering, the Citizen Cyberscience Centre  launched a new version of LHC @ home earlier this week.

The latest version, called LHC @ home 2.0, simulates collisions between two beams of protons travelling at almost the speed of light in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

In Sales, Being Enthusiastic Is To Be Divine. Being Eager Is To Be Avoided. This Is Why.

In The New Alliance Economy there is definitely something to be said for never walking into somebody’s office, or having a business conversation with somebody, with just the idea of selling them something churning around inside of our little ego-besotted heads.

The reason is that kind of mindset tends to make us appear way too eager, and there is great difference between ordinary enthusiasm and eagerness.

Ordinary enthusiasm is contagious. It can be shared. For that reason it can often be instrumental in making a sale.

"Does This Suit Make Me Look Too Eager?"

On the other hand, ordinary eagerness often creates the impression of a kind of desperate self-serving “me” centeredness at work that cannot be shared. Consequently, it can be extremely off-putting, thereby imperiling the sale.  

Far better to walk into somebody’s office, or have a business conversation with somebody, in order to further enrich an already existing personal relationship with them based on an easy enthusiasm for who they are, and what they think, feel, believe and do and the way we can help solve their problems and make their lives easier and more profitable by who we are being and what we have to offer.

In The New Alliance Economy You Will Never Have To Worry About Being Right All Of The Time.

With us, it’s far better for everyone to just be effective!

What it boils down to is that in the New Alliance Economy we help each other to take nothing for granted, especially what we know, or think we know.

In other words, we help each other to listen, think and act from a position of Not-Knowing. That way we put our pathetic, self-serving egos on hold so that the most effective solution(s) to our problems can emerge naturally.

But what about the members of America’s leadership class, especially perhaps, her economic elite?

Apparently, for their purposes a worldview like ours would be anything but helpful.

Maybe that has to be, though. After all, unlike most of us in the New Alliance Economy America’s economic elite attended all of the best schools with all of the best professors.

Moreover, they have read and mastered all of the required texts.

On top of that, they also enjoy all of the power, profits and prestige that come from being the right gender and  having all of the best club memberships, organizational affiliations, prejudices, certainties, jobs, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, diets, automobiles, friends, spouses and kids.

But, when in all of human history has any of that kind of stuff ever been good enough?

Neoconservative Democracy in America - “Come in, sit down, look at me, shut up, I am right, you are wrong, go now, have a nice day!”

For example, it seems to me that you would need to have a really unclean opinion of yourself and your life, not to mention others and their lives, to be willing to crash a great nation’s entire economy just so that you could keep on convincing yourself, and others, that you were indeed among the “best and the brightest” and for that someone who just always has to be right.

Stunningly, from all the evidence, that appears to be exactly what Wall Street’s Alan Greenspan, Bob Rubin and Larry Summers and their cohorts were willing to do, and finally did do, for precisely that reason.

To catch a glimpse of how they went about bringing their project to a successful conclusion I highly recommend the PBS documentary Warning! 

A “must see,” Warning! is the story of a brilliant and capable adult female who chose to be effective as the most courageous, responsible and loyal public servant she could possibly be, namely Brooksley Born, and the decade-long hatchet job done on her by Messrs. Greenspan, Rubin and Summers and their allies in order to prevent her from implementing badly needed regulations in the wildly corrupt and highly fraudulent neoconservative laissez faire derivatives market.

If you, unlike her antagonists, still believe in self-respect, humanity, love of the truth and democratic justice, it will break your heart.

And so will this!

To date, no American official has demonstrated having any of those qualities in sufficient quantity to officially charge these treasonous miscreants with any wrongdoing and make it stick.

In The New Alliance Economy Your Joy, Happiness And Prosperity Will Flow From The Transcendent Natural Order Of Things Within You.

It would all be rather amusing really, if it weren’t so gratuitously insane!

Frankly, I don’t know how we cope with it, or can even tolerate it, for that matter.

There is no originality, no creativity, no imagination, nothing life-affirming, no vitality to any of it! There is just a sickening mania to oppose, tear down, denigrate, demean, divide and destroy at any cost.

That is not freedom. It is demonic possession!

So that is what we have got. “What you think, you get, and so too does your world, which your thinking creates,” as they say!

"What government of the people, by the people, for the people?"

• Unrelenting Worldwide Christian and Muslim terrorism in the name gods that do not exist:
• The unqualified surrender of all political power to corrupt corporate interests:
• The coddling of religious fundamentalists who long for, and encourage, global oblivion:
• The unrestricted transfer of wealth away from the people to the rich:
• The privatizing destruction of the world’s public economy:
• The mostly unopposed disembowelment of American industrial enterprise:
• The evisceration of the global middle class:
• The well orchestrated budget-deficit impasse currently bedeviling Washington:
• The purposeful scuttling of good faith Democratic self-government as a viable choice for the ordering of human affairs:

“What in the ‘Sam Hill’ is going on here?”, one might reasonably ask. Are there no adults on the island? It’s all various self-serving special interests locked in a vicious death-struggle to see who will be crowned Lord of the Flies!

And get this!

Any one of them either has the bomb, or easy access to it!

Of course our culture doesn’t have to be that way! But at least for now it is, and in a sense it is all perfectly understandable.

From all appearances it just seems to be modern Christian Western Civilization taken to its logical conclusion.

Mass Suicide!

Some 300 + years ago Christian Western Civilization in Europe adopted a mechanical worldview grounded in what was believed to be the absolute “divine right” of acquisitive individuality  according to the principle “what’s in it for me at the expense of others?”

Not surprisingly, it soon became clear that the Western way of mechanical thinking, feeling, believing and acting had grown so successful in its own right that it had taken on a life of its own.

Predictably, it was at that point that Western Civilization then began to suck all of the transcendent meaning out of human existence to the point where Western society and culture could no longer offer human beings a worthwhile reason for living.

As a result, during the first half of the last century Western Civilization in Europe tried to commit suicide not once, but twice, an outcome that we Americans prevented both times, first in WW I, then in WW II.

But nothing fundamental ever changed!

Only the center of power with the same old suicidally vacuous and inhumane worldview moved.

To America!

In The New Alliance Economy we teach that real freedom is not the freedom to change something that already exists or to oppose, tear down, denigrate, demean, divide or destroy something just for the hell of it.

Real freedom is derived from one’s Natural Being and for that is grounded in the simple act of creating something entirely new that is more to one’s life-affirming liking from within depending on the liveliness of one’s Conscious Awareness and the sincerity of one’s Intent.

As with the source of all being this simple act of life-affirming creation (re-creation) from within is something that any human being  can perform any time they choose.

The New Alliance Economy, therefore, takes its lead from a different kind of worldview than Christian Western Civilization, European or American.

Infinite Life-Affirming Possibility

It is a worldview grounded in the guiding principle of the way the transcendent world of Infinite Life-Affirming Possibility as the Natural Order of Things works exactly the same way for everybody and everything, and never changes the rules: “where is the life-affirming benefit for others, which is also my own?”

This principle is also reflected in the spirit of our American Constitution and the American Creed of Democratic freedom with equal justice for all under the rule of law that flows from it.

In addition, The New Alliance Economy holds that the guiding principle of its worldview as mentioned above is derived from the Natural Order’s indeterminate spontaneous and open-ended meetings between all things in mutual, interdependent freedom according to the selfless and unconditional love of the source of all things for the life-affirming well being of others, which is also its own, All in All, and All as All, in and as itself, The One, as the truth of the world.

That same kind of natural unity and coherence of The One is also reflected in what was once deemed to be the motto of Americans, E Pluribus Unum.

To sum up, then, if the New Alliance Economy could be said to have a fundamental starting and ending point in terms of Network Marketing it would probably be located in the wisdom of the following observation by the great Zig Ziglar:

“You can get what you want in life if you will just help
enough other people get what they want in life.”

Of course their response will be to ask you what you do and there’s your opening to talk about your business. We tend to over complicate this stuff. Keep it simple. Look to ask five people today what they do for a living!”

“Over the next two to five years the Network-Marketers and Salespeople that figure out how to get in front of the prospect in any manner or form will be the next millionaires.  There is about to be a huge spike, a surge in the number of people that will be open to joining Network-Marketing companies.  NOW is the time to sharpen your prospecting skills.  Become a master prospector.  Study everything you can get on prospecting and get good at it.  Don’t worry if you can’t close, present or lead.  Just learn how to get in front of people and the rest will take care of itself.”

“Salespeople, Relationship-Marketers and Business Owners think their job is to sell. It’s not to sell, it’s to generate leads. You can’t sell if you don’t have a name and a number on a List. You can’t make an appointment without a name and number on a List. You can’t make a presentation without a name and number on a List. And you can’t make a sale unless you started with a name and number on a List. So why are trying to learn how to sell? If you don’t have the volume you want and you don’t have at least 48 prospects on a List – you don’t have a closing problem. You’ve got a lead problem!”
